Daily crude steel output among the member mills of the China Iron and teel Association (CISA) reversed down over August 1-10 after growths over July 11-31, with the volume down 19,000 tonnes/day or 0.87% from July 21-31 to 2.15 million t/d, though the decline was mainly due to the small variation in the sample size, according to an association official.
The decline was mainly due to the fact that the sample
size was down by one, otherwise, the daily crude steel output in the first ten
days of August still grew by 0.12% from July 21-31, he explained. Hebei
Zongheng Iron & Steel Co. has been removed from the survey starting August
