High costs propel Chinese NPI prices to one-year high

Chinese prices of nickel pig iron (NPI) rose further over the past week on support of firm raw materials prices. As of October 28, the price of 8-15% grade NPI in East China’s Jiangsu province had gained another Yuan 15/mtu ($2.2/mtu) on week and refreshed the one-year high at Yuan 1,210/mtu including delivery and 13% VAT, according to Mysteel’s data.
