SHFE copper and nickel prices rise, aluminum falls

ABSTRACT

The most-traded Chinese copper and nickel contracts on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) closed higher on week when the daytime trading session ended on July 23, while the SHFE’s most traded aluminum contract closed lower on week.
On July 23, SHFE’s August copper contract went up by Yuan 460/tonne ($71/t) from last Friday’s settlement price, closing at Yuan 69,670/t, while the nickel contract also for August delivery surged Yuan 2,430/t on week to close at Yuan 143,260/t.
