Over January-August, China's foreign trade value leapt by 23.7% on year to Yuan 24.78 trillion ($3.8 trillion), according to the latest release by the country's General Administration of Customs (GACC) on September 7. Within the total, the value of the country’s exports increased 23.2% on year to nearly Yuan 13.57 trillion, and that of imports gained 24.4% on year to about Yuan 11.22 trillion.
During the past eight months, growth in the overall total reached 22.8% compared with the corresponding period of 2019, the Customs data showed. Growth in exports and in imports was 23.8% and 21.8% respectively.
