China's Mn ore prices reverse down as sentiment wanes

Chinese prices of imported manganese ore reversed down in late October after rising steadily for one month, as domestic market sentiment softened with the retreat in silicomanganese prices, Mysteel Global learned.

As of October 26, the price of South Africa-origin 36.5% grade Mn ore at North China's Tianjin port was assessed by Mysteel at Yuan 36.08/dmtu ($5.7/dmtu) including the 13% VAT, lower by Yuan 0.86/dmtu from the recent high on October 21. The decrease in manganese ore prices was mainly driven
