JFE restarts 5,100 cu m BF at Kurashiki after relining


JFE Steel, Japan's second largest integrated mill, reignited its No.4 blast furnace (BF) at its Kurashiki Area of West Japan Works on December 13 after having completed the relining, expanding the inner volume to 5,100 cu m from the original 5,005 cu m, according to a company announcement on Tuesday, and the BF is expected to realize normal operation in two weeks, a company official shared.
