NBS: China's Jan-Nov steel output drop deepens to 2.6%


Over January-November, China's crude steel output posted a sharper on-year fall of 2.6% to 946.4 million tonnes against the 0.7% on-year dip for the first ten months, and November production slumped 22% on year, according to the data released by the country's National Bureau of Statistics on December 15, as output in most of the major steelmaking bases had been under restriction, long-term or temporary, by last month, Mysteel Global noted.
For November alone, China produced 69.31 million tonnes of crude steel, also down on month for the sixth consecutive month by 3.2%, though its daily crude steel output was up slightly by 1,300 tonnes/day on month to 2.31 million t/d, Mysteel Global calculated based on the NBS data.   Power rationing among
