BI-WEEKLY: China mills' iron ore use dips, stocks grow


Over December 16-29, daily consumption of imported iron ore sintering fines at the 64 Chinese steelmakers under Mysteel's survey declined further, mainly due to the ongoing production curbs among many steel producers in North China. Meanwhile, sintering fines stocks at the surveyed mills increased.
As of December 29, the daily use of imported fines at these mills decreased to 433,400 tonnes/day - a low since November 5, falling by 5,800 t/d or 1.3% on fortnight, Mysteel's survey showed.   Most mills in North China reduced their use of imported sintering fines, amid the frequent and stringent
