WEEKLY: China steel export prices up amid global rebound


After staying weak for nearly two months, global steel prices showed signs of recovering last week, reflecting rising production costs and steel demand. China's steel export prices moved upward too in sync with the global trend, according to Mysteel's latest weekly report.
As of January 24, the mainstream transaction price of China-made SS400 4.75mm hot-rolled coil (HRC) had reversed up by $10/tonne on week to $765/t, while that of SPCC 1.0mm cold-rolled coil (CRC) also gained $8/t on week to $860/t, according to Mysteel's assessment.
