NBS: China's Jan-Apr steel output drops 10.3% on year


China's crude steel output stayed on the downtrend over January-April, with the total volume falling by 10.3% on year to 336.2 million tonnes, according to the latest data released by the country's National Bureau of Statistics on May 16.
For April alone, China produced 92.8 million tonnes of crude steel, still lower by 5.2% on year though it had narrowed somewhat compared with the on-year fall of 6.4% in March, the NBS data showed.   Nevertheless, China's daily crude steel output in April averaged 3.09 million tonnes/day, seeing a significant rise
