NBS: China's May ROM iron ore output climbs 14% on month


China's run-of-mine (ROM) iron ore output grew by 14% on month in May to reach 97.8 million tonnes, as against the decline in April, Mysteel Global noted from the data of the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The output volume was also 5.6% higher on year.
Over January-May, China produced a total of 423.9 million tonnes of ROM iron ore, or having nudged up by 0.2% on year after the 0.9% on-year dip for the first four months, according to NBS data.   Last month, the country's top four iron ore mining bases all posted on-month increases in their ROM iron ore
