Japan's imported stocks of flats up 6% on month in May

By the end of May, Japan's stocks of imported carbon steel flats including hot-rolled coils (HRCs), cold-rolled coils (CRCs) and heavy plates at key ports of Tokyo and Osaka were up by 6% on month to 159,000 tonnes, marking the first rise since January, according to the data released by Japanese trading house Hanwa Co. on June 28.
