BI-WEEKLY: China mines' iron ore output falls, stocks grow


Over July 1-14, domestic production of iron ore concentrates among the 186 Chinese mining enterprises canvassed in Mysteel's bi-weekly survey declined to a two-month low of 502,200 tonnes/day on average, down for six consecutive weeks by 400 t/d on fortnight. Survey respondents explained that some miners had responded to the sharp reduction in their margins by winding back production.
