Hongsheng Copper to put into operation at the end of this month

According to Hubei Daily, Yangxin Hongsheng Copper Ltd, is the largest project of China Nonferrous Metals Group in China, and it is the largest copper smelter under construction capacity in China. There are currently only 6 such copper refineries in the world.


Hongsheng Copper was built by the cooperation of CNMC Daye, CNMC 15th Metallurgy, Huangshi State-owned Assets Corporation and Huangshi Newport Development Company. Hongsheng Copper is located in Huangshi Xingang Park, with a planned total investment of 8.7 billion yuan, of which 4.4 billion yuan is invested in construction, and the current progress has been completed by about 4 billion yuan. The melting furnace has begun heating up the natural gas ignition oven on August 16, and the furnace temperature has now reached 600 °C.


Hongsheng Copper integrates the world's most advanced suspension double flash process, is committed to building a benchmark factory for green and intelligent benefits. After the completion of the material at the end of September, it can achieve full production and effectiveness in 2023, achieving an annual output value of 30 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 1.6 billion yuan.


After Hongsheng Copper is completed and put into operation, it will further strengthen the copper industry chain in Hubei Province; At the same time, it will also help the copper annual production capacity of Daye to reach 1 million tons, with an output value of more than 100 billion yuan.
