By 2035, China aims to achieve socialist modernization with its per capita gross domestic product (GDP) matching a medium-level developed economy, making major breakthroughs in core technologies in key areas, and becoming a global leader in innovation, according to a Xinhua news report on October 29 summarizing the agreements reached at the 5th plenary session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
By 2035, China will have a higher proportion of middle-class population, more eco-friendly elements in citizen’s daily life, achieve fundamental improvement in the ecology and environment, and have greater influence in the global economic cooperation and competition, according to the report.
