The steel industry is poised to enter a new adjustment cycle in 2024, characterized by intensifying supply-demand imbalances, underperformance in traditional sectors such as real estate and infrastructure, and heightened competition leading to declining profitability.

Despite these challenges, the industry remains optimistic, driven by collaborative efforts on supply and demand sides to promote high-end, intelligent, and green development, along with untapped potential in infrastructure construction and effective support from manufacturing demand.

Looking ahead to 2025, the industry will focus on solidly promoting high-quality development, accelerating the cultivation of new productive forces, and driving stabilization and recovery in industry profitability, thereby enhancing resilience amidst external uncertainties.
