GACC: China's bauxite imports surge by 39% YoY in Mar

China’s imports of all types of bauxite including aluminum ores and concentrates totalled 16.47 million tonnes in March, marking an on-month increase of 14.2% and an on-year surge of 38.8%, the latest data released by the country's General Administration of Customs (GACC) show.

China's bauxite imports up 30% in Q1

China's total bauxite imports in Q1 were up 30% to 47.1 million tonnes, of which 77.3% came from Guinea and 16.6% sourced from Australia. The volume imported from Guinea rose by 34.8% to 36.4 million tonnes in the quarter.
