WEEKLY: China mills' imported iron ore stocks edge down

After rising for three straight weeks, inventories of imported iron ore sintering fines held by the 64 Chinese steel mills under Mysteel's regular monitoring dropped during March 20-26 to 12.8 million tonnes, down by 161,700 tonnes or 1.2% on week, Mysteel's latest survey results showed.

Over the same period, daily consumption of the feedstock among these surveyed mills was largely flat at 571,900 tonnes/day on average, lower by just 200 t/d compared with the prior survey period.
