MYSTEEL: China's SiMn output grows further in Nov

ABSTRACT
Total silicomanganese output among the 121 Chinese smelters under Mysteel's tracking continued to rise in November, with the tonnage up for the third month by another 16,464 tonnes or 2% on month to touch a five-month high of 833,534 tonnes. The 121 sampled smelters host almost all of the country's SiMn smelting capacity.

Last month, daily SiMn output among the surveyed smelters reached 27,784 tonnes/day on average, higher by 5.4% compared with the previous month, according to the survey. Among the five major production bases, SiMn output in Northwest China's Ningxia and Southwest China's Guangxi posted substantial on-month rises of 15.5% and 14.9%,
