Recently, North China has been significantly affected by the epidemic. The controls were put in place in parts of Henan and Hebei provinces, disrupting transport. The relevant research on secondary copper rods processing enterprises in Henan province has been conducted with the copper scrap analysis team of Mysteel. The details are as follows.

secondary copper processing enterprises in Zhengzhou, Sanmenxia, Nanyang, Zhoukou, and some other regions were not affected by the epidemic this week. The main impact comes from the supply of raw materials in northern markets. At present, transportation is blocked in some regions of Henan and Hebei, which does not directly affect normal production. At present, Xinxiang in Henan province, which has been particularly affected by the epidemic, and has implemented static regulation on October 19, which had a significant impact on the production and marketing of secondary copper rods in the region, and some of the enterprises even stopped production. Other enterprises that are still producing have said they will shut down after inventories are depleted. Most enterprises said they expect static regulation to be lifted on October 26. Some enterprises began to arrange raw materials procurement through the form of reporting, but the easing of raw material supplements is relatively limited.
At present, the impact of the epidemic on the production of local secondary copper rods is about 1500-1800 tonnes, which further aggravates the shortage of secondary copper rods. It is expected that the local demand for secondary copper rods will be absorbed by secondary copper rod enterprises in Hubei, Anhui ad other places if the influence is likely to expand further.
