With the increasing market interest in the prices of imported iron ore concentrates, Mysteel has collected various valuable feedback and conducted a series of market surveys. Along with the feedback and survey results, Mysteel has commenced data tracking and testing for the past 5 consecutive months. Through those preparatory works, Mysteel has decided to make the following adjustments and additions to the current concentrates index, and add a new index too:

By following the adjustments and new launch, Mysteel will release three different concentrates indices:
- 65% Sintering Concentrates index, with only the market price of sintering concentrates to be used in the calculation sample.
- 67% Pelletizing Concentrates index, with only the market price of pelletizing concentrates to be used in the calculation sample.
- 66% Concentrates index will remain unchanged, and the calculation of samples will not distinguish between sinter feed and pellet feed concentrates.
These modifications will officially commence on September 1, 2023. The standardized process and calculation methodology for the adjusted and newly added concentrates indices will be identical and aligned with all other Mysteel Seaborne indices. Meanwhile, feedback from all market participants will continue to be solicited throughout the transition period.
