NSSMC mulls over a controlling stake in Sanyo Special

Japanese integrated steelmaker Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corp (NSSMC) and specialty steel producer Sanyo Special Steel have begun discussions which would see NSSMC acquire additional shares in Himeji-based Sanyo, thus becoming a controlling shareholder with a 51% stake.
