Fangda Special Steel profit leaps 85% on higher output

Fangda Special Steel Technology Co (Fangda Special Steel), the listed arm of Jiangxi Fangda Iron and Steel Group headquartered in East China’s Jiangxi province, posted a net profit of Yuan 1.3 billion ($190.8 million) during the first half of this year, up by a huge 85.4% on year. The steelmaker’s interim report released on August 18 mainly attributed the jump in profits to a rise in the company’s output and to the buoyant steel market.
