Taiwan CSC’s steel sales keep stable in August

China Steel Corporation (CSC), Taiwan’s top steel producer headquartered in Kaohsiung, South Taiwan, said its August carbon steel sales remained almost stable on month as a consequence of the island’s still lacklustre steel demand, with the steelmaker’s total sales lower by 1% or by 9,373 tonnes on month at 883,690 tonnes, according to the company’s latest release published on September 18.

Last month’s sales also represented a decline of 4.3% or 39,438 tonnes year on year, according to CSC’s available data.
