WEEKLY: Caution keeps China’s FeCr prices static

Chinese prices of ferrochrome (FeCr) have remained largely static of late as most domestic smelters are tending to remain cautious about trading while they wait for the new round of bids from steelmakers, according to Mysteel’s weekly report.

The spot price of FeCr with 55% Cr content in North China’s Inner Mongolia remained stable at Yuan 5,800/tonne ($866/t) EXW and including 13% VAT as of November 3, Mysteel’s data showed. “The spot market has been quiet recently and demand has softened, so the new round of procurement from
