Japan’s NSE to supply large CDQ to Taiwan’s CSC

Nippon Steel Engineering, the engineering arm of Japan’s largest steel producer, has received an order from Taiwan’s China Steel Corp to supply a large Coke Dry Quenching (CDQ) plant, NSE announced on November 26.
The CDQ, to be built at CSC’s Kaohsiung Works, will be paired with a new coke oven that the Taiwan maker is presently building. NSE says the CDQ will have a cooling capacity of 260 tonnes/hour. Such units are the largest operating anywhere in the world, it claims. To date, NSE has supplied
