China Jan-Oct foreign trade value up 22.2%

Over January-October, China's foreign trade value increased by 22.2% on year to Yuan 31.67 trillion ($5 trillion), according to the official release by the country's General Administration of Customs (GACC) on November 7. Within the total, the value of the country's exports gained 22.5% on year to Yuan 17.49 trillion, and that of imports rose 21.8% on year to Yuan 14.18 trillion.

When compared with the first ten months of 2019 before COVID-19 began to impact the global economy, the growth in this year's overall total was equally impressive, touching 23.4%, the Customs data showed, while growth in exports and in imports compared with two years previous was 25% and 21.4%
