Nippon Steel lifts tinplate price by $130/t for Feb sales

Nippon Steel, Japan's largest integrated mill, has decided to add Yen 15,000/tonne ($130/t) for its February domestic sales mainly to transfer rising production costs, a company official confirmed on February 7.
The latest price hike applies to Nippon's all customers in Japan including domestic can makers and to deliveries from March-April, according to the official. "Overall prices for raw materials and auxiliary materials have been hovering at high levels. So we have to lift our tinplate prices to keep stable
