JFE Steel lifts 400-series flat prices by $234/t for April

JFE Steel, Japan's second-largest integrated mill and No.2 stainless producer, has decided to add Yen 30,000/tonne ($234/t) to its 400-series stainless flat prices for April domestic sales, mainly to transfer the rise in production costs, a company official confirmed.

JFE's latest price adjustment applies to its hot-rolled (HR) and cold-rolled (CR) coils and sheets, and the company's total increment since April 2021 has reached Yen 105,000/t, the official shared.
