China Gold International Resources Corp. Ltd released its semi-annual report for 2022. In the first half of 2022, the company achieved total operating revenue of 25.615 billion yuan, down 2.7% year on year; The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company reached 1.206 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 33.70%; Basic earnings per share were 0.25 yuan, up 31.58% from a year earlier.
The net profit attributable to the shareholders of the listed company increased by 33.70% year on year, and the basic earnings per share and diluted earnings per share increased by 31.58% year on year, mainly because the company seized the favorable opportunity of gold and copper price rise, coordinated production and operation, and further deepened cost reduction and efficiency increase, so that copper and gold sales profit increased greatly.
As of June 30, 2022, China Gold International Resources' total gold assets were 51.955 billion yuan, up 9.08% from the end of 2021; Net assets attributable to shareholders of listed companies reached 25.240 billion yuan, up 1.59% from the end of 2021. Benefiting from market development opportunities and the guidance of the company's annual objectives, China Gold International Resources achieved a steady growth trend in all performance indicators in the first half of the year.
In the first half of 2022, the company produced 9.86 tons of mineral gold, 17.62 tons of smelting gold and 31.32 tonnes of refined gold, which changed by -3.43%, -16.02% and -7.80% respectively compared with the same period of the previous year. Production of mined copper was 39,963.92 tonnes and refined copper was 171,555.04 tonnes, compared with the same period of the previous year, changed by -2.07%, -12.55%. The sales volume of the company's mineral gold was 9.59 tonnes, smelting gold was 17.38 tons and refined gold was 31.68 tonnes, which changed by -1.34%, -17.63% and -1.19% respectively compared with the same period last year. Mined copper sales volume was 36,934.79 tonnes and refined copper sales volume was 150,475.44 tonnes, which changed by -7.60% and -18.72% respectively compared with the same period last year.
