NSSC cuts prices of 300-series wire rods for Sept-Nov

Nippon Steel Stainless Steel Corp (NSSC), Japan's largest stainless producer under Nippon Steel, has decided to cut its list prices of 300-series stainless wire rods for the second period by another Yen 50,000/tonne ($347/t) for domestic sales over September-November, mainly to reflect the drop in nickel prices, but the company will keep its 400-series rod prices unchanged.

NSSC had shortened the contract period to two months since March-April contract as an emergency measure amid the turmoil on global nickel market, but the company decided to roll it back to three months since September, according to a company official.
