Nanshan Aluminum to transfer 336,000 tonns of electrolytic aluminum capacity

Nanshan Aluminum announced on December 22 that it plans to publicly transfer 336,000 tonns of electrolytic aluminum capacity, which is worth about 2.227 billion yuan. After the transfer of the capacity indicators and the closure of relevant electrolytic cells, the company will have 480,000 tonnes of electrolytic aluminum capacity, and it will no longer need to purchase power for electrolytic aluminum production from the asset package of Shandong Yili Power Co., Ltd. After this move, the company can effectively solve the problem of high total carbon emissions by purchasing low-carbon aluminum and expanding recycled aluminum capacity.
