Nippon Steel Trading to build coil processing in Mexico

As the rush of Japanese automakers and parts supplies to Mexico continues, Nippon Steel Trading, the trading arm of Japan's largest steelmaker, has announced plans to build a coil centre in Mexico's Guanajuato state. To be managed by a new company named Nippon Steel Trading Coil Center Mexico, the plant is to be a base for slitting electrical sheets for use in electric vehicle motors and is expected to commence operations by April 2025.
