According to the latest information from the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, the total exports of Indonesia's nickel products in June 2023 stood at 828,261.18 tonnes in physical content (the same below), including 734,028.85 tonnes of NPI, 5,790.87 tonnes of ferronickel, 21,341.72 tonnes of high-grade nickel matte, 7,892.98 tonnes of low-grade nickel matte, and 59,206.76 tonnes of MHP.
Among the total exports, 811,228.15 tonnes were exported to China, accounting for 97.94%; 10,458.15 tonnes were exported to India, accounting for 1.26%; 6,275.28 tonnes were exported to Japan, accounting for 0.76%; 299.6 tonnes were exported to South Korea, accounting for 0.04%.
From January to June 2023, the exports totaled 4,236,328.44 tonnes, comprising NPl with a volume of 3,602,806.26 tonnes, FeNi 40,386.78 tonnes, high-grade nickel matte 165,057.21 tonnes, low-grade matte nickel 52,995.59 tonnes, and MHP 375,082.6 tonnes. 96.35% of the exports were shipped to China.
