FLASH: 98 Chinese steelmakers achieve ultra-low emission renovation by Oct
Five steelmakers have been newly added to the list in October, namely Henan Fengbao Special Steel, Hebei Xinjin Iron and Steel, Chongqing Iron & Steel, Hebei Yanshan Iron and Steel Group, and Fujian Sangang Group (Sanming Headquarters), meaning that they have met the ultra-low emission standards, a key component in the country's drive towards clean and low-carbon steelmaking.
Also, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on October 28 publicized the list of this year's industrial energy conservation and green standards research projects, with 13 projects involving the iron and steel sector, including the technical guidelines for carbon emission assessment of iron and steel enterprises, Mysteel Global noted.
