PVC paste resin production capacity has been on an uptrend in recent years, and it reaches 1.495 million tonnes/year in 2023 with the commencement of 60,000 t/y newly-added capacity in Central China in July, up by 16% compared to 1.29 million t/y in 2019, before the breakout of pandemic, resulting in an excess production capacity in the market.
