Tesla is finally pushing forward with the expansion plan for the Nevada super factory to increase production of Semis and 4680 batteries. Nevada Super factory is the first important step for Tesla to ensure battery supply in order to achieve growth. Tesla has partnered with Panasonic to deploy new battery cell production capacity at the factory, which Tesla uses to manufacture battery packs for its automotive and energy storage products.
When the plan was initially announced, Tesla expected the factory to produce 105 GWh of battery cells and 150 GWh of battery packs annually after completion. However, Tesla's Nevada factory has only completed about 30% of the project, and Tesla has not expanded the capacity of the factory for five years.
