FLASH: Shougang Qiangang to build 1.3 mln t/y EAF via capacity swap

Shougang Qian'an Iron & Steel Co. (Shougang Qiangang), a subsidiary of China's sixth-largest steel producer Shougang Group, will build an electric-arc-furnace (EAF) with an annual steel capacity of 1.3 million tonnes while removing a converter, according to the capacity swap scheme released by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Hebei Province on March 4.
