FLASH: China MOF calls meeting to address US petition against its shipbuilders

China's Ministry of Commerce has recently convened a meeting with the country's major shipyards to devise countermeasures in response to a potential trade investigation by the United States, according to a report by Chinese news outlet Caixin.

The petition was lodged under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974, designed to address unfair practices by trading partners, Mysteel Global learned.
