FLASH: China MOF calls meeting to address US petition against its shipbuilders

China's Ministry of Commerce has recently convened a meeting with the country's major shipyards to devise countermeasures in response to a potential trade investigation by the United States, according to a report by Chinese news outlet Caixin.
The petition was lodged under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974, designed to address unfair practices by trading partners, Mysteel Global learned.   On March 12, five U.S. labor unions filed a petition with the office of U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai, urging an investigation into China's alleged unfair
