On April 15th, Xinjiang Jiuchen New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. invested a total of Yuan 4 billion and laid the foundation for the construction of 100,000 tonnes of lithium manganese iron phosphate cathode materials annually in the new materials industry park in Huocheng County, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang.
The first phase of the project commenced construction in April 2024, with plans to build two lithium manganese iron phosphate production lines and put them into operation by the end of the year. The second phase plan is to build two lithium manganese iron phosphate production lines and two precursor production lines by 2025 and put them into operation. The second phase will build a new battery factory with a total investment of 4 billion yuan and an estimated annual sales revenue of Yuan 15 billion, which can provide jobs for 400 to 600 people.
