Recently, Hunan Asmi New Materials Co., Ltd., located in Ningxiang High tech Zone, has officially launched the production line of 10,000 tonne lithium-ion battery anode precursor independently developed. This is the world's first continuous automated production line of 10,000 tonne lithium-ion battery anode precursor.
According to reports, the Asmi R&D team consists of doctoral, master's, and undergraduate students from higher education institutions and research institutes such as Central South University and Hunan University, covering various majors such as technology, machinery, and computer control. The company has invested Yuan 3 billion to build a lithium-ion battery graphite anode material production and related equipment manufacturing base project. The first phase investment is Yuan 800 million, with a designed annual output of 20,000 tonnes of lithium-ion anode materials. The plant started construction in January 2023, and equipment installation and commissioning were completed by the end of the year. At present, the first continuous automated production line with an annual output of 10,000 tonnes of anode materials has been put into operation, and all technical indicators have met the design goals.
