On the evening of November 27th, Leapmotor announced that it had recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Myanmar's NPK MOTOR for the KD (Knock Down) project. This cooperation marks the further implementation of Leapmotor's internationalization strategy and injects new impetus into the development of electric vehicles in Myanmar and Southeast Asia.
It is reported that NPK Motor Company's business involves multiple field such as manufacturing, trade, and automobile sales. In recent years, it has vigorously promoted the layout of EVs and charging networks, and is the highest selling EV dealer in the local area.
In this cooperation, Leapmotor will establish an assembly line with NPK MOTOR in Myanmar, which will effectively enhance the cost advantage of Leapmotor products in the local area, bring advanced EV products to Myanmar, and further meet the local market's demand for green travel solutions; Meanwhile, it can also bring tax revenue and employment opportunities to the local area, promote the development of the local EV industry chain.
Leapmotor stated that it will fully leverage its service, technology, resources, and brand advantages to provide diversified and comprehensive professional support for the KD project in the future, and assist the KD project in successfully landing in Myanmar. At the same time, both sides should accelerate the pace of strategic layout, accelerate the layout of the Myanmar market, and make plans for long-term and efficient development in order to cope with the complex and changing automotive overseas environment and market environment.
