FLASH: Japanese scrap export prices rise in Feb tender

Steel Steel Scrap Global Import/Export Price
The winning bid in Friday's tender for Japanese H2 grade scrap for export in February was Yen 44,810/tonne ($284/t) FAS, higher by Yen 2,071/t from the top bid in last month's auction for exports this month. The quantity awarded was 15,000 tonnes.
The tender organizer, the Kanto Tetsugen grouping of scrap dealers around Tokyo, never reveals the name of the winner, but a Tokyo-based scrap market watcher believed the winner to be JFE Steel's trading arm, JFE Shoji. The cargo is sailing to Bangladesh, just as last month's. The shipping deadline
