China imposes 15% tariff on U.S. coal in response to Trump's trade measures

China announced on February 4 that it will impose a 15% tariff on coal imported from the United States, effective February 10, as part of a broader response to a sweeping levy on Chinese products imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
The decision, outlined in a statement by China's State Council Tariff Commission, targets specific U.S. exports, including coal and liquefied natural gas (LNG), both of which will face a 15% tariff. Other products, such as crude oil, agricultural machinery and large-engine vehicles, will see a 10% tariff increase.   The commission
