On February 25th, it's reported that the first phase of the Zhongneng Ruixin energy storage battery project, with a total investment of Yuan 8.1 billion and located in Tongxiang High tech New City, has entered the trial installation stage, mainly constructing battery cells, production workshops, research and development trial workshops, office buildings and dormitories.
According to the sourcer that it's going to build a 5 GWh production base, with a planned investment of Yuan 1.9 billion and a planned construction period of 18 months. It is expected to be put into operation in 2026.
It's noticed that the commencement date of the project is September 6, 2024. The project will be constructed in three phases, with the first phase covering a total land area of approximately 240,000 square meters and a total construction area of approximately 150,000 square meters. The main focus will be on the production and research and development of energy storage cells, batteries, and system integration products.
Zhongneng Ruixin (Xiamen) Energy Technology Co., Ltd. will build a research and production base for 30 GWh energy storage cells in Xiamen City, with an expected annual output value of Yuan 20 billion after reaching capacity. After the project is implemented, it can further increase the scale of Xiamen's new energy storage industry, providing support for accelerating the construction of a new energy industry cluster highland.
