NBS: China March CPI dips 0.1%, PPI falls 2.5% YoY

China's Consumer Price Index (CPI) in March dropped by 0.1% compared with the same month last year and slid 0.4% from February, while the country's PPI fell by 2.5% from a year earlier and dipped by 0.4% on month, according to the data released by the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Thursday morning.
The further decline in the country's CPI in March was mainly driven by the notable decreases in the prices of food and tourism, explained Dong Lijuan, a senior statistician with NBS.     Last month, China's food prices went down 1.4% from February, with the prices of fresh vegetables and pork falling
