GACC: China's Q1 aluminum scrap imports up 7% YoY

China's imports of aluminum scrap during January-March this year totalled 506,623 tonnes, higher by a marked 7% compared with the same period last year, according to the latest data released by the country's General Administration of Customs (GACC).

In March alone, China's aluminum scrap imports jumped 11.6% on month to reach 183,518 tonnes, though the volume was slightly lower by 0.9% on year, the GACC data showed.
