China's first remote-controlled ore clearing system for mineral processing buffer silos has officially been commissioned at the 11,000 t/d Jinchuan Nickel-Cobalt concentrator. The system addresses long-standing safety and efficiency issues, such as high dust levels, noise, and operational delays caused by overlapping rail activity and low-efficiency mechanical arms during traditional clearing processes.
Launched in September 2024, the project developed a fully integrated solution featuring a remote-control cockpit, intelligent robotic arms, and a real-time digital monitoring system. The new technology is designed to operate under challenging high-altitude and temperature-difference conditions, significantly improving automation and operational reliability.
