GACC: China's April aluminum scrap imports at over 7-year high

China's imports of aluminum scrap during April increased for the seventh consecutive month to reach the highest level since December 2017 at 190,390 tonnes, according to the latest data released by the country's General Administration and Customs (GACC). Last month's total was higher by 3.7% on month and by 5.5% on year, the statistics show.

As a result, China's aluminum scrap imports during the first four months of this year totalled 697,014 tonnes, higher by some 6.7% compared with January-April last year, according to the GACC.
