Russia resumes exports of rolled metal to India after 18-month hiatus

In June 2025, Russian metallurgical companies will send the first large shipment of hot-rolled steel in 18 months to India, amounting to 35,000-40,000 tonnes.
This move marks Russian steel producers' attempt to regain ground in the Indian market, which is traditionally dominated by China, South Korea and Japan.
